Fresh from the field... Our seasonal homegrown Summer flowers
Our seasonal Sussex flowers are at their most abundant in Summer, when the beds are full of colour. We cut fresh to order for Weddings, Gift bouquets, Funerals and Cut flower buckets.
In early Summer - Sweet Williams, Paeonies, Sweet Peas, Ammi, Cornflower and Nigella are ready to cut. We also grow beautiful scented Roses in whites and cream, pinks and peaches, gorgeous in Wedding bouquets and for decorating cakes. Roses are also perfect for buttonholes and corsages, and are often featured in Wedding headbands and flower crowns. We focus on fabulous scent, and these early Summer blooms really hit the spot. Fragrance is often missing from imported flowers, but our homegrown British flowers really capture that evocative English Coutry Garden feel. Wedding centrepieces of seasonal flowers bring the outdoors into your Wedding venue - your guests will enjoy them.
Our homegrown Dahlias start to bloom in July, giving us fabulous, long lasting blooms right through until the frosts in Autumn. From the delicate and simple 'daisy flowers' through to elaborate and colourful blooms, Dahlias play a central role to our Summer season and are a great favoutite. We also cut spikes of Veronica and Agastache, Delphinium and grasses. Colourful Achillea, delicate Astrantia, Phlox, Daisies, thistles and Verbena.
Our Hydrangeas are in season from mid-summer, in shades of greens, white and subtle pinks and mauves.
These 'big blooms' enable us to create wonderful larger floral statements, such as Church pedestals, Wedding arches and swags for doorways.
